Netflix’s star-studded Ginny & Georgia has taken the internet by storm. Here’s what you need to know if you’re not binge-watching it already. And if you aren’t, what are you waiting for?

While critics likened the new series to the 10-episode first season to Gilmore Girls “only with more sex and a criminal mastermind”, the series crawled into viewers’ heart nonetheless.

‘Ginny & Georgia’

Ginny & Georgia follows the story of Ginny Miller, a 15-year-old teenager who feels more mature than her 30-year-old mother, the irresistible and dynamic Georgia Miller.

Georgia goes to extreme lengths to defend herself and her family’s wellbeing while Ginny struggles as an outcast at her school. Not so mention the snooping private investigator hanging around.

The first season ended on a dramatic cliff hanger. Keep reading to learn more about season two.

Will there be a second season?

The first season left many viewers on the edge of their seats. While there is no official word about the second season, TV Line reports that “we shouldn’t expect it to arrive until early 2022”.

“Although Netflix hasn’t picked up the show for any additional seasons yet, another one seems likely (and necessary!). The ending of the first season suggests that there’s quite a bit of material to tease out”.

Marie Claire

Hopefully Netflix will confirm soon whether a second season is on the cards, especially considering the amount of loose ends left to tie up.
