Gamers across the globe have ditched all plans after the announcement that Fortnite season six is officially live. For the Battle Royale’s phenomenon’s players, it will be the first time they experience gameplay in the Wailing Woods to the north-east.

When will Fortnite season six start?

It was revealed by Epic Games on Thursday that the new season will start on 27 September. Users will be able to drop into the map and explore the new features of the game.

What is new on Fortnite season six?

There will also be a floating island complete with a haunted castle right above Loot Lake. Epic Games dished out the latest features in this season:

  • A changed map with floating islands
  • new corrupt areas
  • players can now take pets
  • players can consume Shadow Stones that allow you to ‘become one with the shadows

We can’t imagine how frustrated the Ninjas and other Fortnite maestros of this world were when the game went down to allow time for the upgrade.

What are the week one challenges on Fortnite season six?

Everything remains the same with regards to what is earned during challenges. However, this time around, challenges will be split between those that are free and exclusive ones that are only available to owners of the seasonal Battle Pass.

  • Pick up a Legendary Item in Different Matches
  • Regain health from a Cozy Campfire
  • Stage one Search Chests

Battle Pass challenges

  • Apply Shields
  • Stage one: Land at Junk Junction
  • Dance under different Streetlight Spotlights
  • Eliminate Opponents in different named locations

Detailing the ends of the new update, The Telegraph reported that,

The latest tease yesterday, featured a glowering wolf figure, again reflected in the side of ‘Kevin’, the mysterious purple cube that has been travelling the Fortnite map for the last few weeks of Season 5. It simply came with the caption ‘Tomorrow’.
