Tuna & Mayo Pasta Salad – The best braai side for a reason

Be the bring and braai star with this incredible Tuna & Mayo Pasta Salad side for your next braai. A South African summer favourite for a reason.

Tuna Pasta Salad

It’s not just the meat, drinks or conversation that make South African summer braais so great. More often than not, everybody brings something else along in terms of sides. We call it a “bring and braai” and this great Tuna & Mayo Pasta Salad is a delicious variation on an established favourite. There’s something great about a pasta salad with a creamy sauce that gets our mouths watering and this one is no doubt a great one to bring to your friend’s braai on the weekend.

Our preferred pasta type to use is elbow macaroni as they are still small but trap sauce, tuna and the rest inside, giving you the perfect bite. You are more than welcome to use other pasta types but this is the one used most often. The filling, other than tuna, includes gherkins, peppers and apples for crunch and goodness. The dressing is tangy and delicious with Dijon mustard, mayo, yoghurt and lots of lemon which goes very well with the tuna. This Tuna & Mayo Pasta Salad is best served cold.
