Making great sandwiches and snacks is a great way to enjoy your favourite foods. If you’ve ever been in Cape Town, you’ve probably been introduced to some Cape Malay pickled fish. This South African pickled fish recipe takes inspiration from that and becomes a favourite toast-topper.
The best fish, like in this recipe, is snoek but you can use any kind of herring but make sure to remove as many of the bones as possible. The recipe also used pickled masala and you can use atchar too. The recipe is great on some toast and perfect for the snack table when you have friends over this weekend.
