The festive season is here and what better way to celebrate it than with a delicious peppermint crisp tart? This old South African favourite is creamy and indulgent with a lingering minty flavour. The best part is that it is served cold which is just what we need in this hot summer weather.

Preparing a peppermint crisp tart takes about 15 minutes but then you need to put it in the fridge to cool and set. Three hours in the fridge should be enough but it is best to allow it to cool overnight.

Whether you opt to prepare a large peppermint crisp tart and slice it up to serve portions or you decide to be a bit fancier and prepare it in ramekins or glass cups, this decadent dessert will be loved by everyone who takes a bite.

If you do not have much time to prepare a Christmas dessert, look no further than this recipe. It is quick and easy and will be so popular among your family and friends.
