Mince with fried rice suggestions

If you want to have less cream, fry your mushrooms separately and add them in close to the end. Use some chicken or beef stock to add liquid to the dish so that the rice can cook and doesn’t burn. The great thing is that you can add some frozen vegetables in too to add to the nutrition and it doesn’t add much more effort. You can add some spice with curry powder or chili if you want to and make something different every time.

  • Add the chopped onions, garlic and herbs and fry for 3-4 minutes, until softened and golden-brown. Turn down the heat
  • Add the beef mince back into the pan.
  • If you are using vegetables, you can add them at this stage, add the tin of cream mushrooms or use freshly fried mushrooms. Mix well, cover and bring this mixture to a simmer for 30 to 45 minutes or until all the rice is soft and cooked. Just check that it does not burn, add a little water if needed. Bring to simmer again.
  • When ready, season to taste
  • Before serving garnish with grounded black pepper, chopped onions, tomato, and coriander.
