People love breakfast because all of our favourite foods are in there with crispy bacon and some soft eggs. These crispy bacon and egg lollipops are the perfect brunch treat. With toasted ciabatta bread and these stacks of breakfast goodness, you’ll have your friends stunned with silence as they enjoy each bit. You can serve them alongside any other brunch meals too.

Crispy bacon and egg lollipops tips

Unless you’ve got the space and some extra hands to help, each ingredient will be cooked separately but it’s not all bad. As the bacon is cooked first, that fat is going to be used to fry the mushrooms which is never not tasty. The eggs should be made right at the end for each individual stack. Make your first layer some toast and then start stacking. This is a great recipe to make with your friends because you want everything to be warm and perfect with each bit.

Ingredients

  • 12 12 eggs

  • 12 12 bamboo sticks

  • 15 ml 15 butter

  • 12 12 pieces bacon

  • salt & pepper

  • cherry tomatoes

Method

  • In a saucepan, heat the butter to medium heat. Place 2 of the bamboo sticks on the bottom of the pan.
  • Separate the eggs and put 3 yolks over each bamboo stick. Cover with a lid for 4 minutes.
  • Using a large spatula, remove the egg stick and repeat with other eggs.
  • Fry the bacon pieces and place in the plates. Serve the eggs on the bacon with cherry tomatoes.
