Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • 1 whole chicken

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons mustard powder

  • 2 tablespoons butter chicken spice

  • zest of 1 lemon

  • juice of 1 squeezed lemon

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

  • salt and pepper for seasoning

  • 2 potatoes

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • Lemon cream sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper

  • ½ cup milk

  • ½ cup cream

  • 1 lemon

  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs

  • 50 g butter

  • 3 tablespoons flour

Method

  • Chicken
  • Preheat the oven to 100°C.
  • In a bowl mix the olive oil, dried ingredients, lemon zest and lemon juice.
  • Brush the mixture on the whole chicken.
  • Place the potatoes in a casserole dish with butter, add the chicken and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
  • Lemon cream sauce
  • Place the butter, garlic cloves, red pepper and mixed herbs in a pot and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add the flour and stir for a minute.
  • Add the milk and cream, keep stirring until thick and creamy, then add lemon.
