There are so many ways to enjoy great food and it’s always best shared with family. An iconic family meal is meat loaf. Our Italian meat loaf is a great twist on a classic meal you often see on movie and TV screens. The recipe is an easy homemade bolognaise meat sauce with the eggs and breadcrumbs to keep it together. It’s tender and packed with flavour which the whole family can enjoy on a cold winter evening.

Italian meat loaf tips

YOu can easily make your own bolognaise sauce but if you’re a busy individual, you can use a can or bottle ready made. You can always cook it with a bit more garlic and herbs to improve on it. If you have sauce left over, baste the loaf every twenty minutes. When done, remove from the tin, increase the heat of the oven and baste the loaf before baking for a few more minutes. Serve with some roasted vegetables.

If you’re looking for a great family meal, try our Italian meat loaf. It’s a combination of classic Italian flavour and old-school family cooking.
