Light and fluffy and lick-out-your-plate delicious, that is the best description for these healthy oat waffles. Waffles are just perfect for dessert or as an anytime snack. However, nothing stops you from preparing these healthy oat waffles as a nutritious breakfast or brunch.

The best part is that this super delicious recipe is also wholesome. Healthy oat waffles are gluten-free and sweetened by honey. The oatmeal also provides a good punch of fibre to this recipe.

This recipe is so easy to prepare that you can even involve your kids if they love helping around in the kitchen.

  • 80 g 80 raw oats

  • 2 medium 2 bananas

  • 2 large 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon 1 almond extract

  • 1 teaspoon 1 baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon 1 almond flour

  • 1 teaspoon 1 almond flakes for topping

  • 1 teaspoon 1 honey for topping

  • 4 medium 4 fresh strawberries


  • Place the raw oats, baking powder and almond flour together in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Place the banana, eggs, almond extract into the blender and blend until silky smooth.
  • Heat the waffle maker and use cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place one scoop of the batter in the waffle machine, and cook until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove from the waffle machine, sprinkle with the almond flakes, drizzle with the honey and place the cut up strawberries on top. Serve and enjoy!
