Fruit Popsicles – The perfect sunny weather fruit snack

Everybody loves a cold snack on days that are warm and spent outdoors. Fruit Popsicles are delicious, colourful and packed with healthy fruit.

The days are starting to get warmer in South Africa and Spring is just around the corner. Are you a fan of taking your own snacks to the beach, sports events or your next braai and pool party? Not only are these Fruit Popsicles perfect for sports days, beach weather and pool parties, they are filled with delicious, healthy fruit too. It’s also a bonus that they are super colourful and fun.

Fruit Popsicles are especially great to prepare with the family, especially if you have young kids. Let the kids pack or divide the fruit into all the different combinations before you put them into the popsicle holders and freeze them. This recipe includes fresh kiwis, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple and mango which are all packed with loads of vitamins and minerals. These fruit are delicious and very colourful, making them the perfect outdoor snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium 4 Fresh kiwis

  • 1 cup 1 Fresh strawberries

  • 1 cup 1 Fresh blueberries

  • 1 cup 1 Fresh pineapple

  • 1 cup 1 Fresh mango

  • 500 ml 500 Water

  • Popsicle holders

Method

  • Cut the fresh fruit into thin slices and place into separate bowls.
  • In the popsicle holders place the fruit carefully and add the water until they are full.
  • Freeze overnight until hard and enjoy.
