Spring has arrived in South Africa and it’s the perfect time to host your first or fiftieth braai. However, when it’s so warm, you don’t really want to overeat on heavy foods, but enjoy something fresh and light as a snack. Fruit Kebabs are the perfect way to invite your friends and family in and enjoy a fruity snack while you enjoy the day by the pool before the meat goes onto the fire. These kebabs are also great for any vegetarian or vegan diet following individual who is looking for a delicious snack.

These fresh kebabs include all the delicious fruits and citrus that you can think of right now. It includes red and green grapes, watermelon, pineapple and raspberries. But, you can use your imagination as you like and use any fruits you feel comfortable with. You can add whatever you want and everybody will enjoy them. These Fruit Kebabs are so versatile that you can even use the same arrangement for cocktail garnishes.

Ingredients

  • 50 50 Skewers

  • 250 g 250 Red grapes

  • 250 g 250 Green grapes

  • 500 g 500 Raspberries

  • 3 3 Pineapples, chopped/cubed

Method

  • Thread one green grape onto the skewer with one chopped pineapple, one red grape, one chopped cube of watermelon, one raspberry, one pineapple, one cubed kiwi repeat pattern until skewer is full.
