Simple chocolate truffles suggestions

Remember that when the condensed milk cools back down, you will be working relatively quickly to make the balls so it doesn’t set too quickly. Not only can you choose your favourite cocoa intensity, but you can also roll the truffles in some bright rainbow sprinkles or add another layer of chocolate sprinkles. Add some coffee essence to intensify the flavours too! Serve them in different coloured paper cupcake cups and enjoy!

Such an easy recipe to make these delightful truffles.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 condensed milk

  • 100 ml 100 cacao powder (good quality)

  • 5 ml 5 cacao powder for dusting

  • 16 small 16 cupcake holders

Method

  • Place your cup cake holders in a small muffin pan and spray them lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a sauce pan, heat the condensed milk until it bubbles on the sides.
  • Add a third of the cacao powder.
  • Beat the mixture vigorously with a whisk until the cacao is dissolved. Repeat with the rest of the cacao. The mixture should have the consistency of a thick frosting or icing. Remove from the heat.
  • Spray your (clean) hands with non-stick spray.
  • With a spoon, place a small amount (walnut size) of the mixture in your hand and roll into a ball until smooth.
  • Place in your cupcake holder.
  • Repeat until the mixture is finished.
  • Dust with cacao powder.
  • Let them set in the fredige for about two hours.
