The nutrient content of raw vegetables, such as cauliflower is higher than when it is cooked. Why is that? Well, heat can destroy important nutrients found in the raw ingredients.

Many vegetables like baby spinach, mushrooms or cauliflower can be mixed with strawberries, bananas and other fruit to give a healthy smoothie. Incorporating raw fruits, nuts, seeds and vegetables into your diet can have health benefits. What are these health benefits? Ingredients

  • 1 cup 1 strawberries frozen

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 mango frozen (you can substitute with apple or kiwi)

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cauliflower (either steamed and cooled, or raw riced)

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cucumber peeled

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 coconut water

  • 2 2 white mushrooms washed

Method

  • Blend everything until smooth, then serve in a glass.
