Try this easy way to bake your crumbed chicken that will still give you the same golden crunch you love from deep-fried chicken.

This recipe is great for popping into a tortilla wrap or topping a salad. You also can serve it for supper with mashed potatoes, creamed sweetcorn and a green salad for wholesome family meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts sliced into strips

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1/2 cup cornflakes crushed

  • 2 tablespoon dried mixed herbs

  • 1 tablespoon chicken seasoning

  • 2 cups mayonnaise

  • 1 egg, whisked

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl add the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl add the egg and mayonnaise.
  • Dip the chicken pieces in the egg and mayonnaise mixture and coat with the flour mixture until the chicken is fully coated.
  • Once all the chicken has been crumbed, place the chicken on a greased baking tray and bake for 40 minutes until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
  • Serve with wraps or in a salad.
