What is a fully-fledged bazaar without some delicious pancakes emanating that characteristic cinnamon flavour? This easy pancakes recipe reveals the secret to prepare those authentic bazaar goodies.

This recipe includes vinegar. It may sound strange, but the vinegar ensures that the pancakes are not rubbery. Another great secret to this easy recipe is to allow the pancake mixture to stand. The longer the mixture stands, the better the result will be.

The best practice is to prepare your mixture in the morning and leave it until the evening for baking. You also do not have to use all the mixture at once. You can store it in the fridge for up to one week.

Nothing is more discouraging than pancakes sticking to the pan. So, ensure your frying pan is super clean by rubbing it well with salt. This will clean the pan surface. Now that you are all set to get going, let the easy pancakes baking get started!

Total time

  • 750 ml 750 cake flour

  • 3 large 3 eggs

  • 175 ml 175 oil

  • 25 ml 25 vinegar

  • 3 ml 3 salt

  • 15 ml 15 baking powder

  • 1000 ml 1000 water

  • cinnamon and sugar

  • Beat the eggs until light and fluffy.
  • Pour in the cooking oil, vinegar and salt and beat well again.
  • Add the flour and whisk.
  • Put the baking powder in last and beat for another 1 minute.
  • Add the water after whisking the batter until it has the right consistency. If it is too thick add more water.
  • Allow the mixture to stand.
  • To ensure your frying pan is clean, rub well with salt to clean the surface.
  • Heat the pan over moderate heat, then wipe it with an oiled kitchen towel. Add some batter into the pan, tilting the pan to move the mixture around for a thin and even layer. If the pan is at the right temperature, the pancake should turn golden underneath after about 30 seconds and will be ready to turn.
  • Add cinnamon and sugar or any filling you prefer.
