When it comes to food, chicken is one of the most popular types of protein sources out there. It’s easy to flavour as you please and everybody can enjoy it in all of its forms. However, there is one style of chicken that ranks pretty high on everybody’s list and it’s fried chicken. Our homemade crispy fried chicken is simple but packs a crunch and flavour punch that’s great for family dinner or for those weekend feasts.

Crispy fried chicken tips

If there is one situation you don’t want with your chicken is for it to be under-seasoned. Add enough salt and pepper to your flour for the best results. If you want your chicken to be the most tender out there, marinade it in buttermilk for something really incredible. Yoghurt works well too for a marinade as it breaks down the connective tissue, making it super tender. If you want a bit of spice, add paprika or cayenne pepper to your flour mixture too.
