Do you remember baking during the holidays with gran and then packing loads of cookies into tins for the rest of the family? How about sneaking some of those cookies into your pockets? There are so many recipes out there and this condensed milk biscuits will bring back those memories of baking loads of cookies. They are great with a cup of tea or coffee, or just as they are as you walk into the kitchen.

Condensed milk biscuits tip

The dough should be nice and stiff which will help make some crunch to the party. You can roll the dough out and cut it into any shape you want to depending on the occasion. For decoration, you can add some glaze over the top, put jelly sweets in the middle or even drizzle with some chocolate. This batch makes quite a few cookies and you can double-up if you want to for more gifts or a bake sale.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 500 butter

  • 725 g 725 flour

  • 330 g 330 sugar

  • 1 tin 1 condensed milk

  • 4 tsp 4 baking powder

  • 1 tsp 1 vanilla essence

  • salt

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Add condensed milk, vanilla essence, sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Dough must be stiff.
  • Roll out and bake at oven for about 10-15 minutes.
