Who doesn’t absolutely love chocolate? Adults and children alike, all agree that chocolate makes the world go round. Do you have kids who enjoy spending time in the kitchen with you or you want to make some fantastically easy brownies for your friends and family? We have you covered with this Classic Cocoa Squares recipe. No baking but you’ll feel like the worlds best baker when you try them.

You’ll need a microwave, mixing bowl and some utensils, that’s it. The beauty of this recipe, is that it’s so easy you can rope in the youngsters to help or they can do it all. It’s technically not even baking. So, oven burns are not going to happen. The Classic Cocoa Squares recipe makes 24 squares depending on your baking tray size and is great for parties, tea time or even bake sales. These cocoa squares are sweet, soft and filled with a surprising amount of deliciousness for so few ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 500 g 500 icing sugar

  • 100 g 100 cocoa

  • 300 g 300 Marie biscuits, broken into pieces (2 packets)

  • 2 whole 2 eggs

  • 250 g 250 butter

Method

  • Melt the butter in a microwave and set aside. Mix the icing sugar, cocoa and eggs together.
  • Add the melted butter, mix well and microwave for three minutes.
  • Remove and add the Marie biscuits.
  • Mix well, tip out onto a baking tray, spread evenly and allow to cool before slicing.
