When you think about making a good curry, you often wonder if it’s going to take too long but there are some great quick recipes too. You don’t need hours to develop flavours and this easy butter chicken recipe is no different. Butter chicken is marinated in all of the spices and dalhl (yogurt) for at least a day before cooking in a tandoor clay oven. There are some aromatic spices but this hearty curry is usually very mild and great for everybody to enjoy.
You can take the time and marinade the chicken with the yoghurt ans spices below and then cook the sauce a bit with some onions before adding the chicken back into the pot. If you want some more sauce, add some chicken stock and thicken the sauce. This dish is also usually served with rice or you can make some delicious naan to enjoy with every bite and soak up the last bit of sauce in your plate. Either way, it’s going to be great.
