Wondering what is a tabbouleh salad? Traditionally, this salad forms part of a mezze in Arab countries. It is a Levantine-style salad usually made of finely chopped parsley, tomatoes, mint, onion, bulgur, and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and sweet pepper. However, this recipe deviates a bit from the traditional recipe giving it a delicious variation with more taste and substance.

Some of the ingredients included in this tabbouleh salad are beans and chickpeas. These two ingredients add so much substance to this dish that you will feel satisfied and full for a long time after enjoying this salad.
