Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 3 cups fresh figs, seemed and sliced

  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

  • 4 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 3 cups of water

Method

  • In a pot add water, lemon juice, sugar, strawberries and figs.
  • Place the pot on the stove and allow to cook and reduce the water until the strawberries and figs are cooked and the water has reduced to a syrup.
  • When done blend to a smooth jam and let it rest before putting it in the fridge.
