Salmon isn’t just for the sushi plate and can be turned into something special with some heat. Our pan-fried and baked salmon recipe is simple and everybody can enjoy it.

Salmon is incredibly healthy and has the usual protein in high volume but also those important omega-3 oils. Having some salmon or other fatty fish at least once or twice a week is always recommended. The amount of servings for this recipe depends on the size of your salmon fillet. The baking time is just enough to give you the chance to prepare some great sides.

Our pan-fried and baked salmon is a basic recipe and you can get creative and add any sides that you want. Have a piece of salmon for breakfast with some avocado and a slice of toast. You can enjoy a light green salad or some pan-fried peppers with your salmon dinner too.

Ingredients

  • 1 1 salmon fillet

  • 3 tbsp 3 butter, melted

  • 2 tsp 2 salt & pepper

  • 2 tbsp 2 garlic, crushed

  • 2 2 lemons

  • 1 tbsp 1 dill, chopped

  • 3 tsp 3 olive oil

Method

  • Heat oven to 200°C.
  • Line a baking tray and grease with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Place salmon on top of chopping board cut salmon into 4 pieces marinate with salt and pepper, olive oil, let it rest for few minutes.
  • Heat pan with remaining butter fry the salmon until the skin is golden.
  • Place the salmon on the baking sheet skin down.
  • Add the garlic and dill.
  • Add half of the lemon on top of the salmon and bake the salmon for 10 – 13 minutes until it is soft.
  • Take the remaining lemon and fry it in the pan that was used before.
