Fresh fruit is a firm favourite on a hot summer’s day. Make it rich and creamy with this fresh fruit dessert recipe. It is a luxurious dessert that will cool you off from the inside out.

Make sure you have a variety of fresh fruit before starting with this recipe. You can substitute some of the fruit options with some of your favourites, but make sure you have a large variety. Next, slice the fruit up and drizzle with lemon juice to ensure that the fresh fruit does not turn brown.

Then, prepare a rich, creamy mixture to go with the fruit consisting of milk, cream, gelatine, water and sugar. Mix with the fruit, pour into a mould and allow it to set in the fridge for at least three hours.

Each bite of this colourful, cold fresh fruit dessert will send shivers of delight down your spine. The juicy fruit pairs very well with the cream and will result in an explosion of flavours on your palate.

  • 150 g 150 strawberries

  • 100 g 100 blueberries

  • 100 g 100 raspberries

  • 150 g 150 kiwi

  • 150 g 150 banana

  • 150 g 150 apples

  • 500 ml 500 milk

  • 500 ml 500 cream

  • 100 g 100 sugar

  • 90 g 90 gelatine sheet

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 tablespoon 2 vanilla essence

  • Wash all the fruits, cut into cubes and mix them all together in a bowl. Squeeze the lemon on top of the fruits so they will not change colour.
  • In a bowl add 100 ml of water, then soak the gelatine for a few minutes.
  • In a pot, pour milk, cream and sugar and heat them all together until the sugar has dissolved. Add the gelatine to the milk mixture and stir for a few minutes. Take it off the heat and let it cool down.
  • Take a mould and spray it so it won’t stick.
  • Pour the milk mixture with the fruit and mix well and pour everything into the mould.
  • Put in the fridge to set for 3 hours or overnight, then serve it cold.
