Ever wondered how your favourite content creators curate their aesthetically pleasing timelines on the gram? And always bringing the heat with their selfie game? Here’s the lowdown on some of the photo editing apps they use.

Giving life to your photos is fairly simple, and of course you don’t have to be a professional to do this. It does, though, take a bit of effort and so why not use a few photo editing apps to enhance your images.

Our five fave photo editing apps

While there are hundreds of  photo editing apps out there, these five are worth taking a deeper look at for their features.

Check them out, especially if you are a digital content creator.

1. Facetune

Facetune is one of the most popular apps used by influencers. It is the perfect selfie app to iron out minor imperfections without changing your entire look. Use Facetune to smooth, edit, tweak details, reshape, patch, adjust tones, fix red eye, defocus, add frames, add filters to make your photos (and face!) look awesome.

2. Lightroom

Instagram influencers and digital creatives also use the Lightroom app a lot. It has advanced features like selective adjustments and healing brush, non-destructive edits, sliders and filters among other cool features.

3. Airbrush

AirBrush is such a cool app. It is a full feature photo editing app capable of handling major retouches you might need on your selfie to look exotic. You can simply edit straight off the app interface by taking your images while applying retouch filters automatically.

4. VSCO

The user-friendly VSCO app allows users to capture photos in the app and edit them. You can use pre set filters and other editing tools.

5. Snapseed

The last on a top five list, but not least, has to be Snapseed. Tap into creative mode with this app’s wide selection of tools. They  include tools to adjust White Balance, artificially expand the borders of your image, add filters and manipulate the colouring of your photo.
