Singer and entrepreneur Rihanna hints that her album is on the way which may excite fans or leave some feeling like they’re being played by her again.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said she had no remorse about the delay of the album, adding that it could be worth the disappointment.

She spoke about her ninth studio album, nicknamed “R9” by fans.

“I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it’s gonna come out,” she said in the interview.

“I’m not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It’s taken this long, I’m gonna make it worth it,” she added.

Rihanna’s previous album released in 2016 titled “ANTI” performed exceptionally well.

Rolling Stone magazine rated it four out of five stars, journalist Brittany Spanos referring to the album as a “sprawling masterpiece of psychedelic soul”.

Then the album won Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 59th Grammy Awards.

Rihanna’s new Fenty line

Apart from being an exceptional musician, Rihanna created her own cosmetics firm Fenty Beauty. This is inclusive across all skin tones and now, on Friday 31 July Rihanna launches Fenty Skin.

After its launch, Time Magazine included Fenty Beauty in its 25 Best Inventions of 2017.

Rihanna’s cosmetics line competes with Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, Smashbox and NYX Cosmetics.

One reason Fenty Beauty is so successful because of the emotional attachment women of colour have had to it. It also includes the deepest shades for melanin skin.

In fact, Rihanna has said that women cry when they get to the counter. And it’s because they have found their shade of foundation for the first time.

Her vision for the new skincare range is that it is accessible to everyone. What’s more, it will sell at a price that many can afford. All products will sell for under R600.
