USA reigns supreme! Here are the ‘favourites’ when `it comes the Miss Universe competition – and those who’ve never won a title.

When it comes to Miss Universe, there’s no denying that there are countries that are on the “favourite” list – and yes, South Africa is on it!

In a glittering ceremony in New Orleans, R’bonney Gabriel has crowned the 71st winner of the pageant world’s biggest competition.  R’Bonney became the ninth Miss USA to win the title – the most any country has ever received.

The first-runner-up, Amanda Dudamel of Venezuela was also on the list of countries with the most wins…

WHICH COUNTRIES HAVE THE MOST MISS UNIVERSE WINNERS?

According to Insider, these countries have produced the most Miss Universe wins…

  • USA – Nine winners, including 2023’s R’Bonney Gabriel
  • Venezuela – Seven winners
  • Puerto Rico – Five winners
  • Philippines: Four winners
  • Sweden, South Africa, Medica, and India: Three winners each
  • Mexico – Two winners
  • Thailand – Two winners

COUNTRIES THAT HAVE NEVER WON

Out of 84 participating countries, only 33 have ever won the title.
