The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit – commonly known as the Met Gala – kicked off on Monday 2 May with pomp and flair synonymous with the prestigious event.
Hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the VIP event is aimed at raising funds for the art gallery, but is famously known for its fashion extravaganza instead.
With the dress code of “Gilded Glamour”, this year’s Met Gala continued its theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’.
