The 12th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant takes place today (21 August) in Malopolska, Poland at 8pm.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MISS SUPRANATIONAL
Miss Supranational is an annual international female beauty pageant run by the World Beauty Association that started in 2009, with most of the contests held in Poland. The edition of the pageant was originally scheduled for the end of 2020 but had to be postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
According to The New Times, the duties of Miss Supranational are to work for charitable causes, as well as traveling the world promoting tourism, goodwill among all nations, and a healthy image.
The pageant’s motto is: Glamour, fashion and natural beauty. India is the country with the most wins having won twice in 2014 and 2016.

MISS SUPRANATIONAL TOP THREE PICKS
According to the Missosology Instagram page, here are the top three picks for tonight.
1. CHANIQUE RABE
Chanique Rabe will be representing Namibia. She is a model and fashion designer with her own label called Chanique Designs.
2. ANGELIKA KOSTYSHYNOVA
Angelika Kostyshynova is a Ukraine born model who will be representing the Czech Republic. She was the first runner up at the Miss Czech Republic 2020 pageant and was therefore given the opportunity to compete at Miss Supranational.
3. THATO MOSEHLE
Miss SA first runner up Thato Mosehle is representing South Africa at the pageant, making her the country’s first representative under the Miss South Africa Organisation banner. Moshle, who is a medical doctor, has already been hailed a “hot pick” so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for tonight!
“I’m so excited and ready to represent each one of you, my fellow countrymen on the stage tonight. These past two weeks have been nothing short of wonderful and I’m so proud of myself, I hope to make you proud tonight too!,” wrote Mosehle on Instagram.
Miss Thailand Anntonia Porsild is the current Miss Supranational and will pass down the title to her successor.
