It was a royal fashion extravaganza at King Misuzulu kaZwelithini’s coronation ceremony on Saturday 29 October.

The Zulu King officially received his certificate of recognition from President Cyril Ramaphosa at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The auspicious event took place in front of over 40,000 people, including several African kings and other foreign dignitaries.

MINNIE AND SIZWE HOST MISUZULU CORONATION SPECIAL

Covering King Misuzulu kaZwelethini’s coronation ceremony for Mzansi Magic were Durban-born celebs Minnie Dlamini and Sizwe Dhlomo.

The duo hosted the live crossing of the event which took place on Saturday morning at the sporting venue.

Minnie and Sizwe dressed the part of Zulu royalty in their colourful ensembles.

The Homeground presenter wore a black dress by designer Asanda Madyibi which she complimented with a Zulu headdress and beads which dripped over her shoulders.

Channelling his inner Shaka Zulu, Sizwe also wore a headdress fit for a king with an African-inspired shirt.

CELEBS SHOW OFF THEIR TRADITIONAL LOOKS

Whilst Minnie and Sizwe reported live from their Mzansi Magic studios, other celebs scored an invite to King Misuzulu kaZwelethini’s coronation ceremony.

Real Housewives of Durban star Sorisha Reddy and her businessman husband Vivian were spotted in the stands of the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Tamia Mpisane’s mother Delvis Stifler Louw also attended the event in a beautiful traditionally-inspired dress.
