Ivy Park Rodeo has officially dropped in stores and the fashion fraternity are celebrating…Well, at least those that can afford it!

The latest collaboration between Beyoncé and Adidas has gone viral, and so have their prices…

IVY PARK RODEO PRICES TO MAKE YOUR EYES WATER

The Ivy Par Rodeo range has officially dropped on the Adidas online store and boasts a total collection of 60 items, including those from the kids collection.

The range will launch in store on Friday 20 August, at a handful of stores in the country that include Sandton Flagship, Gateway and Canal Walk.

But instead of excitement, tweeps have expressed their utter dismay at the prices, which range from R500 to R4 000.

The Ribbed Marbled Socks, which come in a three pack, are the cheapest items for adults, with the most expensive being a pair of Ultraboost OG shoes. For the ladies, a crop top will set you back a cool R1 199, a pair of leggings R1 599 and a hoodie R1 699.

“Too broke for this Ivy Park drop,” claimed one tweep, while another added: “I’m not buying Ivy Park, I still haven’t worn the last drop. Also andinamali (I have no money).”

A third supposedly addressed Beyoncé herself, stating: “Ma’am know we live in South Africa?”

‘I’D RATHER SHOP AT THE PUBLIC PARK AKA MR PRICE’

But while Ivy Park is hailed to be the Holy Grail of fashion trends, other tweeps are not so convinced and proudly claimed they would rather invest their hard-earned cash at another retailer: Mr Price

“I’d rather shop at the public park aka Mr Price,” one user sarcastically tweeted.

Another made light of the situation by tweeting: “I’ll get my Ivy Park drip ko Marabastad or Mr Price replicas, Ivy Park or not, drip is forever Ketla bona kemang (I’ll see who stands).”
