The Bleached eyebrow look is what’s trending right now. There is something contentious about this make-up trend that has made the invisible eyebrow look the latest controversial and statement making make-up look in fashion today.

Countless celebrities are wearing the bleached brow at red carpet events and even incorporating it in their casual wear.

SAFETY TIPS WHEN BLEACHING EYEBROWS

Always note to keep away from using harsh products that will irritate and damage the skin. Also remember that the eyebrows are very close to the eyes and you don’t want to injure your eyes.

So use a cue tip or mascara brush. When inserting the bleach to your eyebrows, outline your brows with a little protection. Using protectant such as Vaseline or Aquaphor to protect the skin around your brows will go a long way. The protectant will also serve to secure any bleach from sliding down your face into your eyes.

Keep in mind that feeling a warm or tingly feeling when bleaching is normal but don’t push it. If something does not quite feel right, trust your instinct and remove the bleach immediately using cold water and rise it out thoroughly.

Keep a close eye on the bleach. According to Healthline.com, bleach should not stay longer than 30 minutes. So check it regularly every three to five minutes.

According to Healthline.com, bleach could cause permanent damage to the nerves or the eyes. If the bleach causes damage to the skin or enters your eye, make sure to rinse it out well before going to the emergency room and get the correct treatment and to make sure you don’t sustain permanent injuries. And if you happen to be wearing contact lenses, also remove them before rinsing out the bleach.

STEPS TO GET THE PERFECT BLEACHED EYESBROW

  1. Depending on your complexion and your hair colour, use a bleach and toner volume that will provide you with the best outcome. Remember, you don’t want to bleach your eyebrows more than twice as this could lead to your hair falling out, losing its pigment permanently and even worse, damaging your skin.
  2. Make sure your eyebrows and the skin around them is clean and dry. You can do this by wiping away any oil and dirt with a wet wipe and then waiting a few minutes to make sure the hair and skin is dry. You want to make sure that the bleach is applied on every single strand of hair.
  3. When applying the bleach, use a cue tip or a clean mascara brush and remember to rub the bleach backwards to also get the back of the hair. When you are done, you can finish the remaining bleach by plastering it over the rest of the brows.
  4. Cover your eyebrows with saran wrap/cling wrap to lock in the moisture which will speed up the transformation and lift the colour. Check your brows regularly to see whether or not it is time to rinse out the bleach. Follow the directions on the product packages to see how long the product recommends to keep the bleach on. You don’t want to remove the bleach too early or even worse, too late.
  5.  When the eyebrows have been fully bleached and rinsed. Use a toner to lift the colour to reveal the perfect bleached brow.

An alternative to getting the bleached brow look without actually bleaching the eyebrow hair is to use a very light blonde concealer to achieve the look. Just simply dip your clean mascara brush into the concealer and brush it onto the hair, covering every single stand.

If you love the look and want to wear it again the next day, make sure you wash the old product off and reapply the concealer. A build-up of make up on the skin is never a good idea.
