Medical doctor and former Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green looked breath-takingly beautiful in the photos of her umembeso ceremony she posted to Instagram on Sunday 10 October.

Tamaryn Green, who was crowned Miss South Africa in 2018, shared photos of her and entrepreneur Zesimdumise “Ze” Nxumalo’s umembeso ceremony on social media this past weekend. Umembeso is a process in the traditional Zulu wedding where the groom gives gifts to the bride’s family, following the lobola negotiations. In June this year, Tamaryn shared that her lobola negotiations took place.

Tamaryn, who holds a seven-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBChB) at the University of Cape Town, began dating Ze in 2019. The pair got engaged in April this year at Sweni Lodge in the Kruger National Park.

Taking to Instagram today (11 October), the former Miss South Africa shared a lengthy post about how the day of her umembeso ceremony went. She revealed that the ceremony took place in Paarl, Western Cape as she said she was excited to introduce her new family and friends to the town. The day began with showers of blessings which quickly turned into sunshine!

“Woke up on this morning to the sound of rain and I remember thinking this is God showering us with His blessings. It might be a muddy day but so it will be. Then at 11am, just as our event started, the clouds gave way and the beauty of my home town revealed itself as the sun shone down on us,” she wrote.

“I’m so happy to have introduced my new family and friends to Paarl. I could not have asked for a more fun, loving special day celebrating with God at the centre. Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. We really appreciate it ????????????,” she continued.

Tamaryn wore two different outfits on the day of her umembeso. She started off the day in a beautiful red gown by design and fashion brand Natalia Jeffreys. She matched the gown with a pair of nude heels.

She seemed to have gotten help dressing up from Miss South Africa 2020 runner-up Natasha Joubert.

“It was such an honour dressing you, you are so beautiful.????❤️,” wrote Natasha in the comments section of the post.

The medical doctor then had an outfit change. She slipped into a beautiful bright blue traditional dress designed by clothing brand Scalo.
