Not Chanel! Christina Ricci sells handbags to pay for divorce
Desperate for divorce: Actress Christina Ricci sold ALL her Chanel handbags to help pay for her divorce from film producer James Heerdegen.

While others are trading in their cars and jewellery when hard times hit, Adams Family actress Christina Ricci parted with her beloved Chanel handbags to help pay for her contentious divorce from film producer James Heerdegen.

CHRISTINA RICCI’S CHANEL DIVORCE
Let’s face it. Divorce is not easy — emotionally and especially financially. The Mermaids actress is now the one experiencing the hardships and trauma of divorce from ex-husband, James Heerdegen.
Chanel, being one of the most sought-after luxury fashion brands in the world with bags that cost up to R400 000, is every woman’s desire and now Christina Ricci has had to part ways with hers.
“I have collected, certain bags. I had quite a Chanel handbag collection for a while, but I sold a lot of things,” Ricci told The Cut.
“Well, certain traumas in life go along with financial traumas, extended court situations, custody situations, fighting restraining orders.” Ricci continued.
Now Ricci isn’t shaken by the whole debacle of selling her Chanel coveted hanbags, and even jewellery.
Ricci said: “Having said that, I’m absolutely doing fine, there’s no issue. But I learned to use these investment pieces in different ways. I also had a Chanel Fine Jewellery collection that I put to good use.”

LOVE TURNED NASTY
We’ve watched the romance of Christina Ricci and James Heerdegen bloom over the years. Now it went from rosy to just plain nasty.
According to Page Six, Ricci and Heerdegen filed restraining orders against each other – with hers granted and his denied – amid their tumultuous split, with allegations of domestic abuse.
“I think it is important to say that I don’t feel like a victim in any way. I don’t feel sorry for myself,” Ricci clarified.
“Everybody has their personal issues and this has been mine, and it has been about finding my own self-worth and position and strength and power,” she continued.
