All it took was one tweet from Kay Yarms for hundreds of stores to sell out on Dawn’s new body lotion.

The beauty blogger is one of the country’s most loved and respected social media influencers.

And anything she says is gospel, as evident by her beauty plug that saw Unilever see a drastic spike in sales.

KAY YARMS GIVES DAWN LOTION THE THUMBS UP

Earlier this month, Kay Yarms tweeted about her experience of using a product that significantly reduced the appearance of her stretch marks.

“I’ve only been using it for a month but the difference is so visible!…this product has really really surprised me!”

Kay Yarms then tweeted a picture of her holding the Dawn Body Lotion with Vitamin E/Argan oil. She added: “My skin is so even & I’m not so conscious about the stretchmarks on my arms now”. The post attracted the attention of her hundreds of thousands of fans, who just one day later flocked to stores to purchase the “Kay Yarms Dawn lotion”.

And needless to say they sold like hotcakes!

RETAILS STORES RUN OUT OF DAWN LOTION

According to Business Insider, various retail giants saw their stock sell out of the product.

Clicks saw more than 500 stores running out, added the publication.

“We sold out in 575 out of 714 stores and are busy replenishing stock nationwide,” said Clicks Chief Trading Officer Nigel Grimes.

Dischem added: ““[We] pulled sales reports of two Dawn “blue” variants and… saw a significant rise in sales”.

Now tweeps are demanding that Unilever and Dawn cut Kay Yarms a cheque for her influence on the brand.

“Unilever needs to make Kay Yarms the face of Dawn at this point,” added one tweep
