‘It’s the hair’: Tweeps on why Ndavi Nokeri didn’t win Miss Universe

‘Horrible hair’: Tweeps troll Miss South Africa Ndavi Nokeri’s hairstylist after she failed to make it to Top 5 at the Miss Universe pageant.

South Africans had mixed reactions about Miss South Africa Ndavi Nokeri’s hair and why she didn’t make it to the top 5 at this year’s Miss Universe pageant

‘WHO DID NDAVI NOKERI’S HAIR?’  

Tweeps predicted that the reason Miss South Africa Ndavi Nokeri didn’t make it to the top 5 and finished in the top 16 at the 71st Miss Universe pageant was because of her hair.   

While some South Africans trolled Nokeri’s hairstylist and blamed them for her not securing the Miss Universe title as she was tipped one of the favourites at this year’s Miss Universe in New Orleans.   

@Presh_nazi tweeted:  

“The person who did her hair doesn’t care #MissSouthAfrica.”  

@bodash9 said:  

“#MissSouthAfrica y’all Better stop lying to the girl, besides the horrible hair she looked basic AF.”  

While @mandyring tweeted:  

“Miss South Africa #MissUniverse2022 organisation must stop with the Afro vibes. It can’t ALWAYS win on this global stage. Let’s be honest the RED pattern dress and afro bulky hair was not cute. It just did not compete with the glam on stage. Ndavi.”  

According to TshisaLIVE, Ndari made the top 16 round alongside Colombia, Spain, Venezuela, India, Curaçao, Trinidad and Tobago, Peru, Canada, Portugal, Laos, Dominican Republic, USA, Australia, Haiti, and Puerto Rico.

Parade confirmed that the winner of Miss Universe was 28-year-old Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel, a fashion designer from Houston.  

Gabriel, who is the first Filipino American to win the Miss USA title, is a fashion designer, model, and sewing instructor.
