Imagine getting paid nearly R20 000 just to watch a horror movie? One lucky person will soon have no need to imagine. A company called FinanceBuzz is looking for a volunteer to watch 13 of the scariest movies ever made while wearing a heartrate-tracking Fitbit watch.
Company willing to pay big bucks to scare the living daylights out of one person
The internet has been buzzing ever since FinanceBuzz, a US-based company revealed that they were looking for a Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst who is willing to watch thirteen of the scariest movies ever made.
According to the reports, the person who is chosen for the job will have to wear a Fitbit to monitor their heart rate while watching the movies. They will also be paid a whopping $1300 (about R19.7k) at the end of the watching process.
According to CNN, FinanceBuzz is researching to determine whether the size of a movie’s budget impacts how effective it is to the audience. Using FitBit, they will track whether the person has the same heartrate to movies that were made using a lower budget as high budget movies.

This will help them to determine whether or not people are into it as a result of good writing or whether the budget affects how people receive the movie.
The chosen participant is required to watch: Saw, Amityville Horror, A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part 2, Candyman, Insidious, The Blair Witch Project, Sinister, Get Out, The Purge, Halloween (2018), Paranormal Activity and Annabelle.
They will also be provided with the Fitbit tracker as well as R716 to cover the costs of the movies.
