Here are six Mzansi YouTubers to watch out for:

Neo Rapetsoa

“What’s good, What it do, Wassup?” is the signature introduction to her videos.

And it works: Neo Rapetsoa is a digital content creator and actress who has more than two million views on all her videos.

Her most watched video is where she and her cousin react to an Amapiano playlist featuring DJ Maphorisa, Kabza de Small, Kwiish SA and many more.

Some of Neo’s videos include intimate moments of her bonding with her mother and brother while they cook a meal, and a story time where she recalls her worst date experience.

Her latest video is a “Mukbang” where her and her friends talk everything relationships!

(Don’t know what a “Mukbang” is? Now you do: It’s a video of someone eating, and boy, can it be entertaining!)

Mpoomy Ledwaba 

Entrepreneur and content creator Mpoomy Ledwaba takes the viewer through her trials and tribulations. She and her husband Brendan Ledwaba share insights into their life with a young family.

She tackles issues of communication in a relationship and gives thoughts on how to live your purpose in life.

Mpoomy has more than eight million views on her channel and more than 300 000 Instagram followers who love the cute photos she posts of her and her daughter Nuri.

Her latest video is her husband doing a channel take-over where he discusses putting on sympathy weight as a spouse.

He thanks YouTube for Mpoomy’s award from the video sharing service and takes us through how he edits their videos. The video even features their adorable daughter Nuri. 

Khay Republik 

Social media influencer Khay Rhepublik has more two million views on her videos with a combined total of 30 000 followers on Instagram and Twitter.

Khay’s content includes videos on beauty and lifestyle as she takes viewers on her shopping days and through her morning routines.

She features her best friend Thapelo on a Mukbang and has a “Truth or Drink” with dancer Kamo Mphela and fellow YouTuber and makeup artist Shanei.

Her latest video features an underwear brand where she shares her favourite pieces. 

L&T 

The stylish couple Lwandile and TK, known as L&T, bring a couple twist to YouTube as they create content together. Their work ranges from travel vlogs, to fashion look looks and couples challenges.

The two have more than 14 000 YouTube subscribers and over 400 000 channel views, and constantly up their game with their content.

A channel featuring food reviews, friends, family, and holiday vlogs, Malume Jade’s YouTube is absolutely one to watch. Jade has brought in more than 400 000 viewers on her YouTube channel and has taken us to some of Johannesburg’s top restaurants and the world’s best holiday destinations.

Jade’s combined social media following on Instagram and Twitter is just over 20 000 followers and through her camera lens we have been to Cape Town, Dubai, Las Vegas and New York.
