31-year-old Berenike ‘Berry’ Trytsman has officially been crowned the winner of ‘Idols SA’ season 17 tonight.

Berenike Trytsman, affectionately known as Berry has just been crowned the winner of Idols SA season 17 today (21 November.)
Berry, who has been dubbed a fan favourite… has just been crowned the winner of Idols SA season 17. She walks away with the R1 million cash prize. Berry defeated the talented Karabo Mathe for the title.
“ONE THING ABOUT SOUTH AH. WE WILL BRING OUT iSTEP (CODESA) when we celebrate! And tonight, we celebrate you #IdolsSABerry, MaBerrana/MABHERANA, Berry YOUR #IDOLSSA SEASON 17 WINNER! #ReunitingMzansi,” wrote the Idols SA page on Twitter.
The singing sensation racked up over 12 million votes.
“BERRIES all across Mzansi & Africa. Here’s a special message for you from YOUR #IdolsSA, Season 17 winner, #IdolsSABerry! To think that part of the 12MILLION+ VOTES received were from you, for her, is just heartwarming,” wrote the Idols SA page on Twitter.
Performances of the night included — Musa Keys ft Sir Trill and Nobantu Vilakazi; Mafikizolo, who performed Mamezala. Oskido also performed Emakhaya.
