Dlala Thukzin appreciates fans for international nomination

Durban-born DJ Dlala Thukzin is over the moon after receiving a nomination at the AFRIMMAs taking place in Dallas Texas next month

Dlala Thukzin, a force to be reckoned with in the dance music scene, has appreciated his fans following international recognition.


Born Thuthuka Zindlovu from Durban released a lengthy statement in which he poured his heart out to his fans.

“It brings me so much joy to announce that all our hard work and your support by purchasing my music and attending my shows is being recognized internationally,” he said.

“We are officially on the run for Best Male Southern Africa award at this year’s AFRIMMAs held annually in Dallas Texas (USA),” he added.


“I am humbled by the nomination and I would like to thank each and everyone of you who have contributed in my success through prayer and support. I love what I do and I am working hard to take it to the next level.”

Although over the moon about the nomination, Dlala Thukzin has acknowledged the tough competition in the pool of nominees.

“I have been nominated amongst great South African men, who happen to be people whom I look up to and show the utmost respect for their crafts. By the likes of Master KG, Zakes Bantwini and Focalistic, just to name a few. In all honesty, I know I am young but I have also put in a lot of work and I want to win this prestigious award,” he said.

“So if you are reading this and genuinely believe I should win this, then let’s do this! Let’s Win this TOGETHER AND BRING IT TO KZN,” he urged his fans.

He said voting lines have officially opened on www.afrimma.com and you can vote as many times as you can for him.

Dlala Thukzin also thanked his fans in advance for the votes.

The Durban DJ solidified his name in the industry after collaborating with Sir Trill, Zaba and Mpura Mpura on Phuze (remix), an upbeat track that got many dancing during lockdown.

The 9th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) tagged ‘This is Africa will be held on 19 November.
