South Africa’s favourite DIY expert, SuzelleDIY recently shared her tips and tricks for making your own reusable disinfectant wipes.

While South Africa prepares for level 3 of the national lockdown, people are urged to keep up their personal hygiene, use hand sanitizer regularly, was their hands and of course use disinfectant wipes where necessary.

Now, if you’re looking to save money and remove harsh cleaning chemicals from your home, one simple way to do both is to make your own reusable disinfecting wipes.

Fortunately, it’s very easy to make your own homemade reusable disinfecting wipes – and Suzelle has the ‘recipe’.

To make your own reusable disinfectant wipes, you will need: a jar, fabric scraps, a ruler, a scissor, measuring cup, Ethanol, essential oils and some dish washing liquid.

“Today’s episode is full of handy tips and tricks you can make with your jeans,” Suzelle says along with the video. “There’s cute little denim containers for your pens and pencils (including a stunning tie-dye design), jean wall pockets of your dreams, and jazzed-up jean jackets! Let’s go!”

To make all of Suzelle’s favourite jean hacks, you will need jeans, a glue gun, chopsticks, Jik, embroidery hoops, and some ‘lacy fabric’ in order to say something like “eat my heart out, Project Runway…”
