The Deep Blue Dinner enables guests to enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience against the enchanting backdrop of the I&J Ocean Exhibit.

Kicking off in October 2020, the unique dinner series will offer members, fans, and friends the chance to welcome the Two Oceans Aquarium back in a special way.

What is the Deep Blue Dinner?

A delicious three-course meal freshly prepared in-house by a team of seasoned catering professionals will be served in a spectacular setting at Cape Town’s only “underwater restaurant”.

The Two Oceans Aquarium will ensure that all physical distancing and hygiene protocols are observed as per current government regulations, and a maximum of 50 seats will be made available to ensure ample space between tables.

The Two Oceans Aquarium is one of Cape Town’s top attractions and recently opened its doors again after being closed for five months due to the lockdown.

During its closure, a team of dedicated staff and volunteers were on hand to look after all the animals and the ecosystems at the aquarium and make sure they were healthy and happy.

Enjoying the underwater experience

The Deep Blue Dinner series will be hosted in front of the aquarium’s I&J Ocean Exhibit — a massive tank holding 1.6 million litres of water that is home to a myriad of marine life, including green sea turtles, rays, musselcrackers, a giant guitarfish, and many other species of fish.

The giant viewing window of the exhibit will form the backdrop for table settings and you can enjoy your meal while watching the fish, rays, and turtles glide by.
