The 2023 Met Gala took place on Monday this week and had the usual throng of Hollywood stars frolicking in what they thought were their best looks for the occasion. Stars like Kim Kardashian, Lil Nas X and Ice Spice showed up to the annual Anna Wintour event and made quite a splash in the celeb news front.
The Met Gala also had an unexpected guest which is now making headlines of its own — a giant cockroach that was filmed running down the red carpet and has since gone viral.

Cockroach takes to the Met Gala red carpet
One cockroach may just be the luckiest roach in the world after it found itself among the whose who of Hollywood.
Footage taken at the Met Gala which was held on Monday 1 May this week shows a cockroach scurrying up the red carpet among the A-listers before disappearing from view.

The clip has made waves online as social media users discuss the presence of a common household pest at a prestigious event like the Met Gala.
