A South African musician woman has left thousands of Facebookers laughing out loud after sharing a post about the big blunder that a local licensing department just made. Taking to the app yesterday, Christine Panaino shared how she had waited an entire nine months to get her driver’s licence renewed.

When it was finally renewed, it came with the wrong name and surname – something that has left her obviously exasperated.

Licence Department bizarrely gives woman a new name

Here in South Africa, service delivery is questionable – to say the very least.

Going to any government department is a nightmare as machines are always offline, queues go on forever and employees are less than easy to deal with.

One woman, Christine Panaino recently got first-hand experience of the incompetence after she headed to her local licensing department in Alberton to apply for licence renewal.

According to her Facebook post, she waited nine months for the renewal.

And when she finally went to fetch her temporary licence it had her photo, but not her name on it.

“So after nine months of trying the get an appointment for licence renewal, I am officially Miss Khumalo.”

Mzansi is flabbergasted

The post went viral as thousands of South Africans shared it on their timelines.

A lot of them made hilarious jokes about how the woman now has a new identity that doesn’t make sense at all.

Many of them could not believe the level of incompetence in South African departments.
