There was mass confusion in recent weeks after conflicting reports emerged on social media, some claiming Zola 7 was in desperate need of financial assistance, while others said he was perfectly fine.

The former TV presenter and kwaito star was pictured looking frail having lost considerable weight due to his struggles with epilepsy.

In mid-week he posted from his social media accounts saying he was accepting donations and shared his banking details.

However, a video surfaced suggesting he didn’t request money which naturally left people confused.

Zola 7’s assistant Siki Kunene has attempted to clarify the situation.

Kunene said Zola 7 is indeed accepting donations and that the post with his banking details in legitimate.

“Everything people need to know is on his Facebook page. If people follow Zola they’ll know he’s not much of a social media person. He just comes on to say what he needs to say and disappears. He’s the one who posted that and those are the right banking details,” she said.

Meanwhile, as reported by The South African website, Royal AM owner, socialite and businesswoman, Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize reached out to Zola 7 and made one of his dreams come true.
