Zizi Kodwa’s creative sector ambassadors, hosts Grammy winners

Following his appointment, South African sports, arts, and culture minister Zizi Kodwa recently announced his plans to have veteran actor Vusi Thanda, and iconic Kwaito musician Zola 7 work with the department as one of the creator ambassador sectors.

ZIZI KODWA’S CREATOR AMBASSADOR SECTORS

Kodwa was recently reshuffled into the sports, arts, and culture ministerial position after working as the Deputy Minister of State Security from 2019 to March, the South African Government website reported.

Since then, he has been applauded by netizens for the moves he has made within the department.

On Thursday, 20 April, Kodwa tweeted,

“As far as we are all concerned as South Africans, Vusi Thanda is a great talent, many of our young actors grew up watching him, we still see him on TV today. We’ve approached him to be part of our Creative Sector Ambassadors, to work with us to better arts and culture.”

Meanwhile, on Monday, Kodwa also made the announcement of having brought Zola 7 into the mix, he wrote,

“Bonginkosi Dlamini is South Africa’s icon and one of our most talented stars. I met him yesterday in Polokwane – he welcomed an invite to work with us as one of the Creative Sector Ambassadors. I look forward to a great working relationship with Zola 7.”

SPORTS, ARTS AND CULTURE MINISTER GATHERS SA GRAMMY WINNERS

On Wednesday, Zodwa invited guests to attend a celebratory event for South African Grammy Award winners.

Taking to his timelines on Friday, Kodwa said,

“Yesterday we gathered SA Grammy winners living and posthumous to recognize them for their outstanding representation of our country.

“We dare not only excel in writing tributes for them but also honor them while they walk amongst us. I thank them for accepting these honors,” Kodwa added.

Grammy Award winners, Black Coffee, Zakes Bantwini, Nomcebo Zikode, and Wouter Kellerman were attendees at the event.
