After landing in Israel recently, Grammy-Award winner Zakhele Madida, popularly known by his stage name, Zakes Bantwini, gave his social media followers a glimpse into his international trip, and shared a mini-vlog on Instagram on 7 March and had his fans and followers praise him for working hard and living his life to the fullest.


Zakes Bantwini was booked to perform Live at the Dessert Weekend event in Chan Hashayarot, Desert II on 3 March.

Giorgia Angiuli, and a few other entertainers were also booked for the event.

Upon arriving in Israel, the musician vlogged straight from touching down at the Tel Aviv airport, and could be seen getting in a car parked outside the airport, saying,

“We are riding in a Tesla, you know… We are overseas now, man.”

Next, the Osamo hitmaker could be seen at a daytime event, rocking the crowd with his melodious playlist.

In another post, Zakes Bantwini shared more pictures from the dessert and captioned,

“They said your set at the desert is at 7:30 – 10 am, I said you mean PM ? They said no sir AM the party starts at Midnight and ends at 10 am with your closing set and the rest is history”

Zakes Bantwini was recently spotted in Durban getting a hero’s welcome after returning back from winning a Grammy Award in Los Angeles last month, alongside Wouter Kellerman and Nomcebo Zikode on their song titled Bayethe.

According to SABC News, he was quoted as saying,

“If you thought that dreaming was a waste of time, I am living proof you got to dream so big that people laugh at you. Can you imagine, I am from KwaMashu, and [when] you tell people [that] I want to win a Grammy one day, it’s a laughable joke.”

Zakes Bantwini plans to throw a huge part soon to celebrate his win.

“The sky is the limit🙌🙌,” @sandile_khathini said.

“Congratulations u deserve with your patience u done it🙌,” mazetnancy wrote.
