‘Do you own it?’ Tweeps question Zahara about new business venture

‘We don’t wanna hear ‘they didn’t pay me”: Tweeps have some pointers for Zahara after she shared her latest business venture on social media.

Singer-songwriter Zahara seems to be the latest celebrity to dive into the world of business. The Nqaba Yam hitmaker shared her newest business venture with her fans but some aren’t too impressed and have a long list of questions for the singer and few suggestions.

ZAHARA’S COUNTRY GIRL HAIR CARE RANGE

The 32-year-old singer took to Twitter earlier today to share her newest business venture with the world. She shared images of afro oils, scalp treatments and conditioners. Zahara has titled her brand after herself, “Zahara Country girl”. 

She captioned the post: “Introducing the country girl hair care range!!! Can’t wait to share more details with you soon.” 

SOUTH AFRICA HAS SOME POINTERS

While some tweeps were happy for Zahara, others had some pointers for the star musician. Some tweeps even had questions about ownership and referenced Bonang Matheba’s fight against her former management and Drip Footwear CEO Lekau Sehoana being sued for 34% of his business

One tweep analysed the writing Zahara used on her packaging for the product and wrote: “Consider changing this, the language is inconsistent. Try ‘nourishes, moisturizes and protects’ or nourishes hair and protects against breakage.’ You don’t want your brand to be a social media joke.”

Another wrote: “Hope sisi it’s your product 100% because imbi lento siyabona kuBonang and Drip guy.”

ZAHARA DITCHES ANC FOR EFF

Zahara had been singing at ANC rallies for years and has even written songs for the events, but this year, all of that changed. The songstress was spotted showing her support for the EFF and performed at their manifesto launch. 

She wore the EEF’s signature red and lead the hymn Lizalis’ idinga lakh wriiten by Rev Tiyo Soga.
