YoungstaCPT has set the record straight about his controversial tweets surrounding the death of friend AKA – real name – Kiernan Forbes. This, after he was accused of inciting racism amongst fans.

The Cape Town rapper lashed out on Twitter this week after Minister of Police Bheki Cele shared an update about the late hitmaker’s murder investigation.

It’s been exactly a month since AKA and friend Tebello Tibz Motsoane was shot and killed by masked gunmen outside a Florida Road hotspot in Durban. No arrests have been made.

YOUNGSTACPT CLAPS BACK AT BHEKI CELE ADDRESS

In a media briefing in Westbury, Johannesburg, Bheki Cele gave an update on the murder investigation.

He said: “We acknowledge that it’s not with the speed that the community and nation would have loved to see us reacting, but mark this space. We are cracking the case”.

According to the Minister of Police, authorities were now investigating cellphone evidence.

But despite Bheki Cele’s assurance, members of the Megacy – AKA’s legion of fans – have voiced their disapproval.YoungstaCPT – who collaborated with Super Mega on the track Main Ous – also tweeted his frustration.

Without mentioning names, he posted: “How we let them kill AKA in front of us like he was just another coloured bra? This naaiers is mos taking us for a p**s!”

Youngsta also retweeted posts slamming Bheki Cele and a lyric from Main Ous, which read: “We can’t go on in silence. Start a riot, colonaaiers.”

It’s not the first time Youngsta has lashed out. Following AKA’s death, he tweeted: “If that sh*t happened in Cape Town, we would’ve found the naaiers in an hour!”

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT

Following AKA’s explosive tweets, many members of the Megacy clapped back at YoungstaCPT for what they claimed were “racist undertones.”

Responding to the backlash, the rapper set the record straight at who he was directing his anger.

When one tweep asked him who he was referring to as “them”, Youngsta replied: “The gunmen who killed AKA & Tibz, the police and whoever else is covering this up”.
