‘Yes, it is true’: Open Mic on Nomcebo Zikode’s reunion rumours

Nomcebo Zikode is set to drop one last project with Open Mic despite dumping the record label in the eleventh hour.

Despite leaving Open Mic under a dark cloud Nomcebo Zikode to have a last dance with the controversial record label after they reportedly smoked a peace pipe.

According to ZiMoja, Nomcebo has repeatedly kissed up and made up with controversial record label and will be recording a project to drop this year.

However, the project will see the two parties partying ways amicably. Speaking under anonymity, a close source revealed to the media that:

“They are in the process of resolving their differences. It has been a long and winding road but they have been good since January this year.

They are in the process of releasing a project, and then they will part ways amicably.”

However, Nomcebo’s management refused to comment on the developing news. On the other hand, Lionel Jamela of Open Mic confirmed the news to ZiMoja.

Jamela said: “Yes, it is true, but we are still in talks and cannot reveal further.”

ZIKODE’S WOES WITH THE RECORD LABEL

Singer and songwriter Nomcebo Zikode pulled a shocker when she revealed that she was dumping the record label in the eleventh hour.

She revealed that the record label owed her thousands, if not millions, for her contribution to Master KG’s smash hit Jerusalema. The accusations later turned into a controversial court case still before the courts.

In the backdrop of their woes, Open Mic pulled down her ‘Bayethe’ collaboration from Spotify. Zikode featured Zakes Bantwini and Wouter Kellerman, and the smash hit won a Grammy Award.

However, despite the alleged reunion reports, their court case remains before the courts. No doubt, Open Mic Productions has been making headlines for the wrong reasons in recent months.
